BRRRR!! SUNDAY! [GRAMMYS]

‘Ello! Today’s a huge day in music, in case you didn’t know: the Grammys are slated to go down tonight 8PM/7 CST  on CBS and I do hope that you’ll tune in for at least a little bit. Honestly, I’m kinda in the dark about who’s supposed to be performing that I actually care to see; I heard that the song that just won’t die already, better known as “Forever” by Drake, Kanye, Lil’ Wayne, and Eminem, will be on deck sans Yeezy.

But if he makes a surprise appearance and yells “FUCK YO’ COLORING BOOK!” at the end of the song, I could quite possibly die a happy woman tonight. Just to put that out there.

Lady GaGa, I just found out, is rumored to be performing with Elton John…Sorry but I think that’s a match made in heaven and it’d be cool to see Elton on stage after him getting over that nasty bacterial infection he had a while back.

The performance I really am dying to see, of course, is the MJ tribute. I forgot to get my damn 3-D glasses from Target for it but I think I’ll manage. I really wanted CB [Chris Brown] to get in on this because it could possibly be the last MJ tribute an award show is gonna do, and this would be the biggest one. Somebody needs to throw this kid a friggin’ bone; say what you want about his personal life, but NO ONE in the industry would be able to pay homage to this legend’s dancing legacy better than Chris, and the fact that he’s still being shut out is beyond ridiculous.

That’s all I have to say about that.

Award-wise, I’d love for my Cudder to grab a statue tonight. That would be amazing, and if my boy and fellow Virginia native Trey Songz could snatch that R&B statue from Beyonce my life would be complete. I mean, really, does B really NEED another one of those awards? She’s nominated ten times, just give this one to Trey. She won’t miss it.

I’m just sayin’.

Otherwise, today is yet another boring study day for me that’ll wrap up with some rousing muzak. I always get excited about the Grammys, but most of the time they just leave me whelmed with the occasional “OH SNAP!” thrown in there.

Hopefully, they’ll do me proud this year. Commentary is gonna bang this year, though, thanks to Twitter. Hehehe…
